Budew, a dual Grass and Poison-type Pokémon, becomes available to catch after spending a few hours in Pokémon Legends: Arceus and has the potential to evolve into Roselia, followed by Roserade.
To facilitate Budew’s evolution into Roselia, players should first access the Friendship Checker, an important NPC located near the pastures who can evaluate the friendship status of any Pokémon presented to them. This feature proves essential since Budew requires maximum friendship to trigger its evolution.
The evolution process requires Budew to reach peak friendship during daylight hours. Players can enhance their Pokémon’s friendship through various methods, such as feeding it berries, maintaining its health status, and preventing it from being knocked out during combat. Additionally, engaging your Pokémon in resource collection activities throughout the wilderness contributes to friendship growth.
When Budew achieves maximum friendship during daytime, players will notice the Pokéball icon beside its image in the party menu starting to flash, indicating it’s ready to evolve into Roselia.
Players can locate Budew primarily in the Crimson Mirelands region, specifically within the Golden Lowlands and Gapejaw Bog areas. The creature can also be encountered in the Coronet Highlands, particularly around the Fabled Spring location.
