The Gaping Crevasse is a dungeon in Diablo 4 that contains the endgame boss Uber Duriel. Since this boss drops some of the most valuable Unique and Legendary items in the game, locating and completing the Gaping Crevasse presents a significant challenge.

Before entering the Gaping Crevasse dungeon to defeat Duriel in Diablo 4, you must complete certain preparations. Many seasonal realm bosses require players to obtain particular items by defeating lesser bosses first.

For Duriel specifically, you must collect two Shards of Agony and two Mucus-Slicked Eggs to initiate the encounter. Once you have acquired these items and placed them in your inventory, you will be ready to explore the Gaping Crevasse dungeon in Diablo 4.

Where to find the Gaping Crevasse in Diablo 4

The Gaping Crevasse is a dungeon in Diablo 4 situated in Kehjistan’s southeastern region. To reach this destination, travel to Gae Kul city and head to the marked location. Similar to other dungeons, entry requires only approaching the entrance and activating the prompted command.

The Gaping Crevasse is a compact, level 100-plus dungeon in Diablo 4 that leads to the boss Uber Duriel. Excluding the Duriel section, the Gaping Crevasse offers a brief and uncomplicated experience.

The initial area before reaching Duriel’s summoning altar follows a straight path to the dungeon’s center. You’ll encounter only two enemy types: Mother’s Heralds and Mother’s Disciples. Meeting the dungeon’s level requirements should make this introductory section manageable.

Upon reaching the World’s Bubo area, approach the Pestilent Altar (shown above) and place your two items to summon Duriel. Despite being an Uber Boss, Duriel becomes manageable with sufficient Poison Resistance.
